Penang Free School Muar Chee @ Medan Selera Taman Free School, Georgetown, Penang:

Firstly, some food education first...what is 'muar chee'?

Muar Chee
Some called it snacks, some called it dessert but I think you can eat it anytime you want. It's made from glutinuous rice, which are sticky. The glutinuous rice is then cut into small pieces and mixed with nuts, sesame seeds and sugar. The outer sticky layers of the glutinuous rice will sticks all the other ingredients onto its surface, creative, right?

Muar Chee's uncle motorcycle;)
Now, which is my favorite muar chee in Penang. I always frequent one uncle who sells it outside Medan Selera Taman Free School. He'll be around most evenings and sells muar chee on his motorcycles. Give it a try! Support our senior citizens!:)
Another closer shots at the muar chee. Prices depend on the amount you want, RM2, RM2.50, RM3.
How's the taste? Generally, most muar chee tastes almost similar since most basic ingredients are the same. One tips here to further improve your muar chee lies in the preparations...always ask the uncle/ aunty who sells muar chee to cut it into smaller pieces so that when it's mixed with other ingredients, all the layers will be coated with nuts, sesame seeds and etc.
