Best Tong Sui @ Jalan Ipoh, KL: Best Dessert After Lunch!

You want to have some desserts after your lunch? Look no further...drive to HSBC bank along Jalan Ipoh, KL and look for this 'tong sui' uncle beside the bank.

Jalan Ipoh Tong Sui @ beside HSBC, Jalan Ipoh, KL.

IMHO, there's nothing special with the foods that he sells such as curry puffs, dumplings. However, when it comes to his 'tong sui'/ desserts, I can honestly attest that it's one of the best that I'd tasted so far along Jalan Ipoh (and maybe including Setapak also).

Not only his 'tong sui' is home made by this uncle with more than 30 years experiences, intensely flavorful and rich aroma...it also cost just a fraction compared to drinking artificial, sugary-laden tea at Chatime, Each-a-Cup, etc. yuck!

There are a few varieties of 'tong sui' sold here, red beans, green beans, wheat porridge, gingko barley and etc. The aroma of all these tong sui will make you regret eating lunch!!! You will wish that you keep your stomach empty so that you'll be able to try out all the tong sui here.

My order for today, 'luk mei'/ six flavors (RM1.70) tong sui...seen here I'm at the side alley of HSBC, Jalan Ipoh, KL.
The ingredients for 'luk mei'/ six flavors...I can only name a few like barley, pak kor, etc:)
Another 2 flavors for the 'luk mei'/ six flavors tong sui. Who can name all six?:).
Final 2 flavors for the 'luk mei'/ six flavor tong sui
Luk mei/ six flavor tong sui close up. It comes in warm or cold. Of course I chose cold. Eating it during hot weather was very soothing. The taste was a mouthful literally with six different tastes inside my mouth at any time.:)
The tong sui uncle stall from far. Brisk business daily.

Tasty Or Not?
It's not easy to find homemade tong sui in KL, which reminds you of home. This tong sui stall here is a hidden gem along Jalan Ipoh (KL) awaiting 'Tasty Or Not?' to uncover. Done! I'll be back to try out ALL other varieties of tong sui here (and will put up those photos here too, promise!)
