Top 10 Best Nasi Kandar Must Try in Penang!!! Kuah Campur & Banjir!!!

10. Restoran Kassim Mustafa Nasi Kandar, Lebuh Chulia, Georgetown, Penang

As if lots and lots of people during lunch and dinner time is not bad enough, find parking here is another madness but not if you love to eat nasi kandar. Then, it's worth it.
Address: 12, Lebuh Chulia, Georgetown, Penang

9. Nasi Kandar Jamal Tariq, Tanjung Tokong, Penang

Tantalizing your taste-buds with this deliciously prepared nasi kandar. Huge portions? You'll be surprised Penangites down-ing this plate at 10+pm. You will want to come back for more the following day but...there are so many other great nasi kandar you can try. Read on...

Address: 31 Jalan Fettes (Fettes Park), 10470 Tanjung Tokong, Penang

8. Restoran Mohd Rafee, Jalan Burma, Pulau Tikus, Penang

I used to love their kuah campur and banjir so much that I experimented with take-away, in hoping that all of the gravy will be absorbed into the rice. Hm...wrong move. Eat here instead:)
Address: 25, Jalan Burma, Pulau Tikus, Penang

 7. Nasi Kandar SUBAIDAH, Sungai Dua, Penang

When you're in Sungai Dua, Penang, you must try this restaurant. Although there are multiple branches all over Malaysia, this is the nicest of them all (I'd even ask you to ignore other Subaidahs branches). Besides their nasi kandar, watch out for their special nasi lemak from 10pm onwards. A must try!
Address: Lebuh Pekaka 3, Jalan Sungai Dua, Gelugor, 11800 Penang

6. Restoran Tajuddin Hussain Nasi Kandar, Lebuh Queen, Georgetown, Penang

One of my favorite spot for nasi kandar with thick mutton gravy and their ayam masak merah. Don't forget to ask for their kuah campur + banjir. One tips...if you're not into 'kuah campur + banjir' kind of serving, suggest you to try their aromatic beriani nice instead.

Address:  51 Lebuh Queen, Georgetown, 10200 Pulau Pinang

5. Restoran Deen Nasi Kandar Istimewa, Pulau Penang

Another amazing restaurant serving authentic and aromatic nasi kandar plus varieties of fried chicken, sotong, bawal hitam, telur (egg), bendi (ladyfingers).  Price-wise, reasonable.
Address: Jalan Jelutong, 11600 Penang, Malaysia

4. Nasi Kandar Line Clear, Jalan Penang, Georgetown, 10000 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang

Many news about this establishment lately but I'd prefer to focus on the mouth-watering, authentic-spice laden dish. You'll come back for more, for sure:)
Address: 177 Jalan Penang, Georgetown, 10000 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang

3. Nasi Dalca Rahim @ Queen Street, Georgetown, Penang

Well, I know what you'll say...it's not nasi kandar, right?! There just isn't any top 10 nasi dalca list around because this stall is the one and only, nomero uno, nasi dalca in Penang. Period. You'll never eat a tastier rice;)
Address: Queen Street, Georgetown, Penang

2. Nasi Kandar Beratur/ Liyaqat Ali Nasi Kandar, Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang

Please be advised to be there earlier or you'll be queuing near the roadside. One of the most famous and tastiest nasi kandar in Penang, with long queues but fast service. Anyone complaining about the queue? Not really, it's what makes the food extra tastier...after a long wait and lots of selfies taken.

Address: 98 Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, 10200 Penang

1. Jelutong Nasi Kandar @ Kedai Kopi Tai Min, Jelutong, Penang

Best of best. Packed to the brim in the morning. The rice are nicely kukus-ed/ steamed, soft and fragrant. The chicken are cooked until very tender (a little pull will dislodge the and absorbing all the curry flavor. Furthermore, you're getting a quarter of a chicken instead of just one small piece. Read more from the link and you will know why it's called nasi kandar!
