Tek Sen Restaurant @ Carnavon Street, Georgetown, Penang: Best 'Ju Char' In Town. Period.

Today posting will feature one of the most renown and established restaurant in Penang,..Tek Sen Restaurant!!! Yummy...

In front of Tek Sen Restaurant, busy as usual during dinner time.

I went there with C and J awhile ago. Aii, took me so long before I typed out this posting, procrastinating again, hehe. Anyway, we went there for some 'ju char' foods. 'Ju char/ ju chow' means 'cooking, frying' in Chinese...but in the context of eating/ dining at restaurant, it usually means ordering dishes to eat together instead of just ordering separately. Having said so, that also mean you'll be able to taste and try different types of mouth watering dishes at one go. Delicious!

Breakfast Boost - Roti Canai Telur @ Kedai Makan Ceri, Georgetown, Penang

"Where do I want to eat for breakfast today?"

My breakfast boost @ Kedai Makan Ceri: roti canai telur 'garing'/ crispy and Nescafe kurang manis/ less sugar

That's the first thing that comes into my mind in the morning when I wake up...and I love to wake up for that!

Origins Of Nasi Kandar (Jelutong Nasi Kandar)...Still The Best! @ Kedai Kopi Tai Min, Jelutong, Penang

Ever wonder why nasi kandar is called...nasi kandar? :)

Nasi kandar, literally meant the rice being carried over the shoulder in a basket.

Breakfast Special : Dry Hokkien Mee @ Sri Sentosa Cafe, Bukit Mertajam, Penang

Best Dim Sum In Penang? @ Maxim Dim Sum Restaurant @Sungai Dua, Penang

Yummy! Where to find the best dim sum in Penang?
After an exhausting search for some decent dim sum in Penang, I ended up at Sungai Dua (just behind Nasi Kandar Subaidah, read: Nasi Kandar SUBAIDAH, Sungai Dua, Penang: The Wait...Till 10.30pm/ opposite Fried Rice King, read: Fried Rice King @ Wah Li Fried Rice And Coffee Shop, Sungai Dua, Penang: Famous, Cheap, Fast And Delicious Pai Kut Ong Fried Rice!). All signs point to a new 'ho jiak/ delicious food' discovery, especially when I saw all the tables there were fully occupied. However, scenes of people queuing up and waiting behind each tables, commonly seen in famous dim sum restaurants in Ipoh, are still not seen here yet.
