I'd booked a 3D2N stay at Pangkor Laut Resort for my honeymoon, yay! If you're Malaysian, do call them up personally and asked for holiday package for Malaysian, which includes both accommodation and meals throughout your stay here, at an attractive price.

Arrival at Pangkor Laut Resort within 30 minutes from Lumut, thanks to their high speed motorboat. The sky looked gloomy, right? Luckily, this photo was taken on the day we were heading back home, luckily:) The weather during our visit to Pangkor Laut Resort: nice and sunny during the day and raining during the night, so it was great!:) |
Finally, the long-awaited day arrived and both J and I drove about 80km away from Ipoh town to Lumut. Upon arriving there, you can actually check-in at Pangkor Laut Resort's office at the mainland. All your bags/ luggage can be placed in their office and will be delivered straight to your room (no more hassle carrying luggage around).

Next, we board not a ferry but a high speed motorboat to Pangkor Laut Resort, which boast pristine beaches, tropical forests and more importantly, escape from the bustling city life. We arrived at the Pangkor Laut Resort within 30 minutes.

View from the jetty, villas perched on top of the hills and surrounded by nature:) |
We were greeted warmly by the staffs there and directed to the reception area. There, we were attended by a staff personally, who brief us on the island's attractions and where to have our meals:)

Briefing by Pangkor Laut Resort's staff on the island's attractions and places and time for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) |
Unfortunately, our villa wasn't readied yet when we arrived(!). They said that the previous guests check-out late (poor planning). So, the staff suggested that we have our lunch first instead (although I really wanted to take a rest after the long journey, aii).

Pangkor Laut Resort had been around since 1985, but everything seemed...new:) |
Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca. This piece of paradise has been 2 million years in the making, and here you will find one of the world’s premier resorts nestling in the shade of forest giants as old as the land. You will find no other resorts – just secluded bays curled around pristine beaches, evening skies woven with colour, and a deep sense of serenity reserved exclusively for our guests. A combination of luxury, natural beauty and age-old wilderness woven together to produce an environment where peace and magically memorable moments are the currency. Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its eight Estates. Wooden buildings blend seamlessly into the forest as if nature had been the architect dictating how walls curve around foliage, and roofs open up to allow trees to continue on their journey to the sky.Nature is respected here, almost revered, and it rewards visitors in ways that simply need to be experienced. - from Pangkor Laut Resort website
