More good...nope, great Seremban foods on the way. I was a little nostalgic these few days. Anyway, all these makan place are well known by Seremban-ians and need no further introductions to them.

'Kolo'/ 'Kon lo' mee, plus 'siew yuk'/ roasted pork (RM4.50), yummy!!! You wish it's in KL/ PJ or Ipoh or Penang, right? Nope, it's in Seremban, hehe:) |
I'm writing this to let my KL/ PJ and friends from other states know that there are many great foods available in Seremban. So, between your travel to Ipoh, KL/ PJ or Melacca, do stop by at my hometown for these great foods, okay?:)

Best-est 'kolo'/ 'kon lo' mee @ Restoran Choy Ki @ Seremban town:) |
For this entry today, I'd like to introduce to you a very nice kolo mee in Seremban...not Sarawak, okay~! FYI, especially those who aren't Chinese, 'kolo'/ 'kon lo' mee actually means 'dry' noodles instead of 'ji shui', which meant soup noodles. That's the only different. It doesn't mean that 'kolo'/ 'kon lo' mee originates from Sarawak...no, no, no. Seremban also has very nice 'kolo'/ 'kon lo' mee, as evidence by this food that I'm introducing to you today:)

It's just a small restaurant with railway track situated behind and main road in front of the restaurant. But throughout the years, it had slowly underwent renovations/ 'uplifts' and now it even have free parking at the back of the restaurant. Great! |
|
The restaurant's front, with their 'glamorous' siew yuk/ roasted pork in displayed. I even heard that they take orders for roasting a whole piggy, which is their specialty |
|
A view at their 'whole' restaurant. Since it's situated along the main road, it can be rather dusty in the morning when traffic reaches its peak. Do sit inside the restaurant, which is surprisingly airy, clean and comfortable:) |
|
Pricelist, I'd say that the price is appropriate/ affortable/ decent:) |

'Ko lo'/ 'kon lo' mee with 'siew yik'/ roasted pork. You'll be salivating as soon as the food arrive with such detailed and eye-popping food arrangement! I seldom praise any chili paste before but I must make an exception here. The chili paste's spicy-sweet-sour combo itself will tantalize all three parts of your tongue senses (except the bitter region), resulting with gushes of saliva into your mouth, even before you eat the main dish! Haha:) |
|
Finally, the main dish, 'ko lo'/ 'kon lo' mee, with roasted pork and minced pork too (hidden below the 'siew yuk'/ roasted pork). Firstly, the 'siew yuk'/ roasted pork's perfect 60-30-10's ratio (lean meat-fat-crispy skin) was undoubtedly the most 'value for money' that you can get from ordering this dish. It was crispy at the top, juicy in the middle and salty and so very tender at the bottom! The noodle below was well addressed too by their secret sauce, minced pork meat and spring onions, enveloping each strands of the noodles with flavorful sauce together with this minded pork meat, with dash of freshness from the spring onions. |
|
You'll be getting 8 (eight) pieces of medium-sized 'siew-yuk'/ roasted pork (seen here arranged for headcounts, hehe). Enough or not? Yup, if you eat it for breakfast, it'll last you until late lunch or if you eat it for brunch, then lunch might not need needed too:) |

Tasty Or Not?
Rating 8/10. Great place for breakfast and brunch. Lunch? Hm..try out their chicken/ 'siew yuk'/ 'char siew' rice instead...but no guarantee, okay (because I think other dishes is so-so only).
Daayyuumm....I'm from Sban and I didnt even know this stall had this....;)
ReplyDeleteExtremely expensive. 1 piece fried kosong taufoo with some onion on top rm5, 1 small plate taugee rm5, 1 bowl chicken rice rm1.60, small portion chicken for 2 paxs rm16, 1 glass soyabean rm1.60 totalling rm32.40.
ReplyDeleteTried that. Worst ever tasted in my life and 2 to 3 times more expensive even by KL/PJ standard. Avoid at all cost.
