Fried Rice King @ Wah Li Fried Rice And Coffee Shop, Sungai Dua, Penang: Famous, Cheap, Fast And Delicious Pai Kut Ong Fried Rice!

This was my second time driving all the way from Georgetown to Sungai Dua for dinner after N recommended to me this food stall called Fried Rice King. Must be good, right? It better be good! From what N was telling me, it sounded great but...you know, Indians always love Chinese food, and vice versa. So, I knew I have to taste the food myself and not to take his words for granted. (You can read about his previous food recommendation to me here: Nasi Kandar SUBAIDAH, Sungai Dua, Penang: The Wait...Till 10.30pm)

Fried Rice King stall is inside Wah Li Fried Rice & Coffee Shop
It's actually not that far but if you include being stuck in the traffic jam, it takes roughly 30-45minutes to reach this place. This food stall is in Wah Li Fried Rice & Coffee Shop, behind Nasi Kandar Subaidah and just opposite Maxim Dim Sum Restaurant (more about this in the future!), all located inside Taman Pekaka.

The boss (right) in action. He's very fast and makes cooking appeared so easy. You can expect your fried rice within 10 minutes.
Let talk about the food!

The menu, not extensive but straight to point, all are 'specialist' items and very delicious, according to my friend. He recommended me to try their 'jiu pai'/ famous fried rice which is the 'pai kut ong fried rice'/ pork spare ribs fried rice. I wished I can try all!!!
The 'pai kut ong'. The boss prepared this by frying the pork spare ribs first before mixing it with the sauce. Therefore, you can still experience the crispi-crunchy-ness of the pai kut ong plus the sweet sauce because it's not soaked in the sauce for too long until soggy. Bonus, it's boneless too! Omg! The boss prepare it in small quantities and will fried a newer batch of pai kut ong again once the pai kut ong in this big bowl finishes. The turnover is so fast with so many people ordering this fried rice and thus guaranteeing your pai kut ong to be 'fresh' always!

Fried rice which are readied (rice with eggs) are put on the plate and move to the next 'assembly' line: the placement of the main dish, pai kut ong or others on top of it.
My pai kut ong fried rice (RM5) and my usual barley with extra 'zhar', no sugar and little ice. If you can't eat healthily, drink healthily then:)

Another closer view at my pai kut one fried rice. The rice, nothing special. It's just some rice fried with eggs only. They don't even put in some effort  to include some other ingredients. Nothing, just rice with eggs only. However, the pai kut ong was superb, as I explained earlier, crunchy on the inside and sweet, delicious, boneless and sauce-plus-sesame-coating and sprinkled of spring onions on the outside. I'm so hungry writing about it now!
Close up photo of my pai kut one. I can just eat this by itself! I don't need the rice:)

Tasty Or Not?
Rating: 7/10. An ordinary fried rice with extraordinary toppings (pai kut ong) makes my dinner most satisfying. How about the 'fried rice king' title? Hm...I think it's not important. Just enjoy your fried rice while it's still hot!Yummy-licious!
